Embarking on a journey to empower the youth and shape the future of Technical and Vocational Education (TVET) in Kenya, HACO Industries hosted a profound visit with the distinguished Finnish Ambassador, H.E. Pirkka Tapiola. Joined by key figures from GIZ and The Kiambu National Polytechnic (KINAP), including Mr. Fredrick Kairu – Governing Council Chair of The Kiambu National Polytechnic (KINAP), Mr. Sammy Waititu – Principal of The Kiambu National Polytechnic (KINAP), Mr. Horst – Project Manager GIZ, and Mary-Ann Musangi – Managing Director HACO Industries, the visit delved into crucial discussions concerning the TVET sector, vocational training and education in the country.
During this impactful visit, the distinct roles of each collaborator in this initiative came to light. KINAP, a pivotal partner, plays a crucial role in bringing students f rom the Youth Empowerment Program, HACO Industries actively contributes by providing invaluable practical experience opportunities for these students, while GIZ is deeply engaged in training the trainers. This comprehensive approach is designed to fortify the educational ecosystem and fuel innovation in the TVET sector.
