In the year 1974, in the Coastal town of Mombasa, I founded HACO Industries and I have over the last 45 years steered the company from its humble beginnings as a single product manufacturer to a leading player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry in East Africa.
Our vision is to be the most preferred company with a commanding presence in every household by 2030. It is my firm belief that HACO Industries which prides itself in application of world class standards and best practice in Innovation, Manufacturing & Supply chain, Distribution & consumer marketing will deliver on this ambition.
The journey over the last 45 years has been one lined with immense success achieved through perseverance, dedication & commitment. This has seen HACO Industries develop and establish market leadership with own brands in the Personal & Home categories; MIADI, AMARA, ACE, SO SOFT, SPARKLE and HACO PLASTICS (Rulers & Pegs). Global companies Mattel Toys & E.T. Browne Drug Company, Inc. have entrusted HACO to be the distribution & marketing agency for their brands Palmers and Barbie, Hot Wheels & Fisher Price Toys respectively due to our unrivalled East Africa market access. HACO locally manufactures select Palmers products in line with E.T. Browne’s international standards.
I am a key believer in the Big 4 Agenda and it is my continued determination to contribute towards the Manufacturing sector by ensuring HACO is a sustainable local manufacturing business. This translates to growth of local partners in supply chain, distribution, raw materials & manufacturing inputs as well as sales & marketing. These value chains create jobs and contribute to the economic growth of our country and the continent.
